Warren Hellman founded Hardly Strictly, his gift the city of San Francisco

One of San Francisco’s most generous and until recently, least celebrated philanthropists, passed last night. Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate park, the site of the annual free concert, was renamed Hellman Hollow in his honor. The family assures us the music will continue there.
