1). WE’RE ANGLING FOR SOME SILICON VALLEY HEROES TO STEP FORWARD WITH SOME CASH
Our funding campaign for the New Beat Museum (The Beat Generation Legacy Fund) is making some waves down in Silicon Valley. 2). A SKETCH IS A SKETCH IS A SKETCH
Some people absolutely loved the initial sketches of what our new Beat Museum might look like. Others, not so much. We’ve been kicking around a number of ideas, some including performance spaces and gathering spots. Nothing is yet carved in stone and the final result is fraught with possibility.
3). WHY A BEAT HOTEL IN NORTH BEACH
Ever since we announced the possibility of a Beat Hotel to go along with a New Beat Museum in North Beach people have been weighing in with their opinions. Here’s some background as to how the idea came about and why it’s not so far fetched.
4). BOARD OF ADVISORS IS GATHERING STEAM
Hundreds of people have reached out to us in support of our idea for a new Beat Museum. And just this week THREE famous Beat fans have joined our Board of Advisors: Wavy Gravy, Penn Jillette (of Penn & Teller) and Huey Lewis (of Huey Lewis & The News).
