Greetings Friends of Rick & The All-Star Ramblers Western Swing Band.
Here’s an important update regarding our annual Stowe Mountain Concert Series show on the Church Street Marketplace, in front of City Hall this Thursday (September 8th). The weather is looking ”Iffy” with predictions of thunder storms and rain for late afternoon. I am writing to let everyone know that the rain site for the concert is at Halvorsens Upstreet Cafe on the top block of Church Street, in case we do have a rainout. Our show is set for 5 pm to 7 pm and we are looking forward to our return visit to Church Street for one of our very favorite shows. I’ll send out a note on email and FaceBook in case we are moved off the street to play at the rain site. Please come and enjoy the show with us. We have been the largest draw for this concert series for several years now and we hope our Rambler Family will dodge the raindrops to be with us again this Thursday.
And another update on the progress of our new CD project titled “Green Mountain Standard Time.” We have been working on the album since late June and we are one session away from finishing the recording. And that final session is scheduled for this Friday at Lane Gibson Recording Studio when Dave Rowell and Blue Gardenia, Amber DeLaurentis will finish up the harmony vocals. Everyone involved in the project swears this is The Ramblers’ best recording EVER and I am very excited about the smiles these new songs will bring to our audiences. Yes, we will be doing several of the new songs on Thursday evening. More news about the CD next time! Come play with us this Thursday!.
Please forgive me if you have already received this vital information via FaceBook. We just want to be sure all our pals know about our shows. If you do NOT wish to receive these occasional band posts, just hit REPLY and write “unsubscribe” and I’ll free you from the bonds of hipness. Thanks!
