A new Sweetwater stage is going up in Tampa, just as a Sweetwater curtain is coming down in Mill Valley, California. Richard Ferris sent the news this week of a stage raising planned for Saturday, October 6, at Sweetwater Organic Community Farm.
RAISIN THE STAGE Notice from the directors, “In order to have a proper venue for our fine musicians, we are building a new stage.”
So this Saturday, October 6th we are going to have an old fashion Stage Raising, sort of like an old barn raising. We need 4 or 5 carpenters to pull this project off. The poles are set so we need to do the rest.
So bring something for a pot luck lunch, your hammer, tool belt and some good attitude and let’s get er done. Before you know it, we will all be sitting around watching all of our wonderful talent on our new stage.
We are planning a work day for building the stage. We have the poles in and will be looking at getting at least the deck installed and possibly the headers in for the roof. So it is moving along. Please pass this info along to see if we can get a few skilled helpers to show up. It is going to be really nice to have an appropriate venue for our music Sundays. Thanks for all.
